Tiptop Audio HATS808 (white)TR-808 Hi-Hat Drum GeneratorThe TipTop Audio HATS808 Hi-Hat Drum Generator is the sound of the TR-808’s real, analog closed and open high-hat circuits, made ready to insert into your Eurorack modular system. The sound is painstakingly authentic, but some special features have been added by TipTop Audio to bring the effect into the modern realm. Each voice (open and closed hats) can be adjusted via accent levels, the distortion applied by the gain stage and a dual-input pulse shaper. The band-pass filter has controls for Q and VC-Q for fine adjustment and at maximum range self-oscillation and crushing will begin to colour the audio. The sound of this module is created by six square-wave oscillators, and it is the differences between these that can make any given HATS808 sound unique.
